Gloucestershire Sexual Violence Partnership is a collaboration between statutory partners and the specialist and voluntary sector to ensure that support is in place for all victims of sexual violence and sexual harm, regardless of gender, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation and disability. Partnership work will focus on prevention, victim service provision and holding perpetrators to account.
The vision of the Sexual Violence Partnership is:
For Gloucestershire to be a county that ensures those with lived experience remain at the heart of our response to sexual violence; where partnership activity effectively tackles the myths, attitudes and prejudice that contribute to sexual violence in our society. Focusing on education, re-education and empowerment to create genuine change across our communities, reducing victim blaming, stigma and barriers to accessing support.
For the prevention and reduction in sexual violence to be a priority for all, where a collaborative partnership approach ensures continuity and consistency in support, that prioritises the health and wellbeing of all impacted by sexual violence. To ensure the partnership can support a robust approach to perpetrators that takes into account the changing nature of trends.
The Sexual Violence Partnership has a variety of resources, including their strategy (currently running 2023-2026), a leaflet of sexual violence services for victims in Gloucestershire and a BSL video of the same, all of which are below.
The Sexual Violence Services Leaflet details services available to victims of sexual violence in Gloucester and is available in multiple languages. You do not have to report to the Police to access any of these services. Please select your preferred language from the list below:
