Police and Crime Commissioner's statement following announcement of Constabulary cut backs

Police and Crime Commissioner Chris Nelson said, “Last week, I set out my priorities for policing in Gloucestershire through my new Police and Crime Prevention Plan, which includes creating safer communities and building trust and confidence in policing.

"Today, the Constabulary has set out how the Temporary Chief Constable plans to provide a swift and sustained improvement to operational policing in the County, within the budget she has available to her.

"It is for the T/Chief Constable to decide how she does that.  It is my role to hold her to account for how she delivers against the clear priorities set out in the Police and Crime Prevention plan, and that is exactly what I will do.”
