If you've made a complaint to Gloucestershire Constabulary and you are not happy with the final outcome or with how it was handled, you may be able to ask us to complete an independent review.
After your original complaint has been investigated, you'll receive a letter from Gloucestershire Constabulary giving you the outcome of your complaint and telling you who you can ask for a review of that outcome.
You have 28 days to apply for a review. For example, if your outcome letter is dated 1 June, your request for a review must get to us by 29 June.
Simply click below to complete our online form.
Please give us as much detail as possible about your original complaint and why you're asking for a review.
If possible, please also send us a copy of the outcome letter you got from Gloucestershire Constabulary. This will help us process your review more quickly.
When we receive your request, we’ll contact you to let you know how long we'll take to complete our review.
If we are not the correct organisation to deal with your review, we’ll forward your request to the correct organisation and tell you that we’ve done this.
We'll ask Gloucestershire Constabulary for any information they have about your complaint and how they dealt with it. We cannot reinvestigate your complaint, we can only consider whether how it was handled by the force was reasonable and proportionate.
When we've completed our review and made a decision, we'll tell you what it is in writing and give you a clear explanation of how we came to it.
You can request a review for yourself or for someone else, as long as you have written permission from them to show that they're happy for you to request a review on their behalf. We'll ask you to upload a copy of the written permission in our form.
If you have any queries, please email [email protected].
