About the project:

To prevent the offending and re-offending of young people. To reduce the numbers of young people entering the justice system. To ensure young people in or entering the justice system are dealt with in a timely and efficient manner and adhere to national standards. To ensure that young people are given the necessary support and opportunities to identify suitable alternatives to offending behaviour. To provide community based responses and restorative approaches that include victim feedback and seek to develop safer communities. To work in partnership with a range of agencies including police, social care, education, housing and health to develop and implement multi-agency joined-up responses to offending and antisocial behaviour. To plan and provide effective resettlement programmes to young people in custody preparing for release and those that have experienced custody.
