Paws on Patrol is returning to Gloucester Park on Saturday the 20th May for a fun filled day of activities.

Gloucester Park will be full of activity on May 20th, celebrating the return of Paws on Patrol. Sponsors of the day include Hartpury College and University, The Royal Agricultural University, Royal Canine, The Lady and the Tramp Grooming Salon and Spa and the Barnwood Trust.

The event will be opened by Police and Crime Commissioner Martin Surl, who said, ““I am delighted to be part of this fantastic event. It’s great fun and demonstrates the skills and talents of the Police Dog Team as well as providing the opportunity to talk with residents of Gloucester.”

Gloucestershire Constabulary’s Dog Section will be in attendance

Visitors can expect to see displays from Gloucestershire Police Dog Section and the LG Agility Group and, due to popular demand, there will also be a Gun Dog Display. Elaine Hill will also be there with her duck and geese herding Border Collies.

A novelty dog show, which is free to enter, will also be taking place and there will be a variety of stalls for people to browse. There will be a number of other activities on the day, including face painting, bouncy castles and children’s T cup rides.

If it’s advice you’re after, professionals will be on hand all day to advise on doggy grooming, beauty tips, puppy training and veterinary guidance.

Jennie Watkins, cabinet member for communities and neighbourhoods, said, “Paws on Patrol is always a huge success and just gets better each year. We are so pleased to be able to bring the event back to Gloucester park.

“Paws on Patrol has almost 2000 members now and we’re always looking for more. The scheme has built a great community of dog owners and responsible residents in our City.”
