About the project:
The Hidden Victims project aims to mitigate the disadvantages that children and families face when having a loved one in prison. We do this by addressing any unhealthy or harmful behaviours and developing the family's protective factors to manage difficult situations. The impact of this project is it prevents further offending by supporting children of offenders who are statically at greater risk of entering the criminal justice system themselves and reducing reoffending by improving the family's contact with the offender to aid their resettlement upon release. The Hidden victim's project considered the needs of the individual in the context of their families and their support networks, not just the isolated individuals.
