While the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner has always been proud of its dedication to ‘A Green and Pleasant County’ – one of Martin Surl’s policing priorities, it’s always reassuring when the public and celebrity experts support our work too.
That’s why the team was delighted to welcome Robert Llewellyn and the team from Fully Charged to Police HQ on Monday 24 February 2020, for a full day of filming.
Robert Llewellyn, who you may recognise from his days as Kryten on Red Dwarf or as the presenter of Scrapheap Challenge, is a huge advocate of electric vehicles and technology. He started Fully Charged nine years ago, and it has quickly expanded its audience to become the ‘World’s number one clean energy and electric vehicle programme and podcast.’
Living in the Cotswolds, Robert and his team were excited to see what his local Force was doing to improve its carbon footprint and in support of the PCC’s priority of A Green and Pleasant County.
The result is a 15-minute programme featuring interviews with Martin Surl, Gloucestershire’s Police and Crime Commissioner; Steve Imm, Gloucestershire Constabulary’s head of transport services; and Chief Inspector of operations, Carl Bourne, which you can watch below.
