The police and crime plan

My brief from the Home Secretary is to cut crime but I want to go beyond that. I want there to be less crime, of course, but I also want to tackle antisocial behaviour – things that aren't regarded as crimes but which blight our communities – and in doing so make Gloucestershire an even better place to live and work.

In order to achieve that, I produced a Police and Crime Plan based on my own views and experience and what Gloucestershire residents told me they wanted before the first election.

In the most simple and clear terms, the mission of the Police and Crime plan is:

'Less crime, more peace and good order'

The Forest of Dean Dementia Action Alliance is having its first annual get together – and informal chat over tea and cake! An opportunity for those individuals, organisations, businesses and groups who are “signed up” members of the alliance to celebrate what has been achieved, discuss what is being worked on now and look at the future. But it is also an opportunity for anyone living or working in the Forest of Dean District who would like to get involved or understand Dementia Friendly Communities to come and find out what members of the alliance are doing and how our partnership can support you. Dr Martin Anstell, Consultant in Old Age Psychiatry for 2gether Trust, is one of our more recent members and will be at the event. There will be presentations between 6-7pm. Light refreshments and information stands available
